Step 1
Looking for Adventurous?Alaska is the Last Frontier, but it will make your task much more manageable if looking for a man in Alaska that you base yourself in Anchorage. Anchorage is home to more than half of the state's population. Most of the better paying jobs are located in Anchorage. So it's probably a better bet to focus on the city with trips to nearby towns. It won't limit you to the "city-boy" type. There are all varieties.
-
Step 2
Location, location, location! That doesn't just apply to real estate. If you are looking for a man, forget the bars. Go out and get involved in sports. If you like an adventurous man, try taking a white water raft trip at Six Mile Creek just outside of Hope, Alaska. The name sounds encouraging, doesn't it?
Or maybe you'd be better off getting involved in a bike ride or marathon. Hopefully you won't be running into smokers and alcoholics there. -
Step 3
Set your Criteria, but always be ready to throw it out the window. If you like the outdoors and sports, another place to go is Seward, Alaska. Seward is just a 2 hour drive from Anchorage. In the summer months there's fishing and boating. This town swells to three times its population on the Fourth of July weekend when hard core runners run the Mountain Marathon. Halibut and salmon fishing charters are expensive, but a great way to get yourself out there amongst the men who are more into nature and adventure. Although with fishing, there is always drinking.
-
Step 4
Understand that most of the available men in Alaska are available for a reason. It is easy to eliminate many of them. The others may just hook you at first, and then you find out the truth, the whole truth about why this guy was available. Make sure you check them out thoroughly before heading out on a date. You can check court records under Alaska Court System, courtview search. Make sure you spell the name right. Also, go to the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Recorder's Office to check documents under their name. Most important of all, check the Sex Offender's list on the Alaska, Department of Public Safety website. Keep in mind that 80% of sex offenders have not been convicted and you won't find them on the list. In Alaska, pepper spray isn't just protection from our bears!
