The Assault gametype on halo 3 requires you to plant a bomb inside your enemy's base. There are a few different types of assault that you can play on Halo 3. Here are some tips on how to win at Assault in Halo 3.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The object of this game is to plant your bomb inside your enemy's base. One person will need to carry the bomb while the other players defend the bomb carrier. Whoever is carrying the bomb will need to try to stay safe and not be seen if possible. If you are the bomb carrier, do not drop the bomb anywhere besides the enemy base because the enemies will be able to find you.

  2. Step 2

Have your teammates draw the enemy team out of their base on the opposite side of where the bomb carrier is coming in. This will distract the enemy team long enough to get the bomb inside the base. The bomb will start to countdown and you will need to defend it until it explodes. The enemy team can disarm the bomb if they stand on top of it long enough.

  3. Step 3

Have your team pick up as many power weapons as they can to help defend the bomb carrier. You can also use secondary items like the bubble shield to protect the bomb while it is counting down to explode. You can also try throwing as many grenades as you can at the bomb while your enemy team is trying to disarm it to stop them.

  4. Step 4

For defense, pick up as many power weapons as you can in the beginning of the game. Leave at least one person at the base in case the enemy team tries to rush in to arm the bomb in the beginning of the game. Once your team has some good weapons, have them all fall back into the base. Have one person scout around the map with a sniper rifle to try to pinpoint the bomb carrier. Once you take out the bomb carrier, cover the bomb until it returns to the enemy base.
