Step 1
Learn the location of the spike grenades on each map. It will be much easier to use these grenades if you know where they spawn. The best place to use spike grenades is in closed areas like hallways. When the spike grenade explodes, it will spray shrapnel in the direction that the spikes are facing and they will sometimes bounce off of walls.

Step 2
If you are in a closed area, throw the grenade at the ground or ceiling near your enemy. The grenade will explode and shrapnel will bounce around the closed area, killing your enemy.

You can also use the spike grenade in halo 3 for vehicles. This grenade acts just like a sticky grenade when thrown at vehicles but does less damage. Try sticking a spike grenade to an oncoming vehicle to take out your enemy.

You can also use this grenade to stick your opponent. This acts just like a sticky grenade when thrown at an enemy player. Practice your aim with grenades and try sticking your enemy with the spike grenade in Halo 3.
