Download and install a copy of GoldWave from the official website - though a similar audio-recording utility will work just fine.

Plug the mini tele-recording device into the microphone port on the sound card of your computer - it will be labeled with a picture of a microphone. The sound card will likely be at the back of your computer, installed in one of the expansion bays.

Insert the rubber-tipped side of the pickup into your ear, and place your cell-phone speaker against the pickup. Both sides of the conversation will be recorded.

Click the "Record" button in GoldWave's floating right panel and initiate your phone call. After the call is complete, click the play button to review it.

Save your recording by clicking "File" in the upper right corner of GoldWave. Select "Save File as" from the drop-down menu, and then choose a name and location to save your recording.
