Instructions

    • 1

Shampoo and condition your hair as usual. Straightening irons work best if used on clean, dry hair. If your hair is damaged, you may want to use a deep conditioning product because heat styling can further damage your hair.

    • 2

Apply the anti-frizz serum to the palm of one hand, then rub both of your hands together. Work the product through the hair, concentrating on the ends.

    • 3

Plug in and turn on your straightening iron, following the appliance's directions and warnings.

    • 4

Blow-dry your hair using the flat brush and dryer. Point the nozzle of the dryer downward as the air flows over the section of the hair being brushed. Do this until the hair is completely dry.

    • 5

Divide the hair into two sections. The top section should extend from the top of one ear straight across the back of the head to the top of the other ear. Clip this section away from the bottom section.

    • 6

Spray the thermal protectant on the bottom section of hair.

    • 7

Grab a 1-inch section of hair and clamp the straightening iron over the hair near the roots. Gradually pull the iron towards the ends, being careful not to stop until you reach the ends. Stopping can cause unsightly dents or crimps in the hair. Repeat this step throughout the bottom layer.

    • 8

Remove the clip from the top section of hair and spray the hair with thermal protectant. Repeat Step 7 until all of your hair has been straightened.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use the lowest heating setting on your iron that is still effective to minimize damage from heat styling.
