Things You'll Need:
- coffee grounds
- earthworms

Step 1
One of the best organic lawn fertilizers is your coffee grounds. After you are done with brewing your coffee, you threw away the coffee grounds as trash. Instead of tossing it, use it for your garden and plants. First, dry it before use. When it's wet, it might get moldy. Remember molds thrive in wet and nutrient environments. Then, put it in your garden.

Step 2
Earthworm compost as organic lawn fertilizer. Instead of tossing your kitchen wastes, leaves, and other organic waste matter, put it all in a bowl with some earthworms in it. In several days, you wastes will be turned into nutrients by the earthworms. It is perfect both for your lawn and plants. Best of all, there is no cost and you are recycling waste.

Step 3
Not everything is suitable for making your own organic lawn fertilizer. Things that attract insects are not good. These include oil, lard, bone, fish, leftover foods, and all dairy products. These things decompose in your garden and will attract lots of flies and rats which will ruin the nice looks of the garden.
