Things You'll Need:
- Pair of earrings with a hole above the decorative portion (I will post a photo example).
- An set of fish hook earring converters, which can be purchased for $5 or less at an arts and crafts store such as Michael's or via the web.
- A pair of pliers.
-
Step 1
Note the round, gold hole above the hoops - this is where you will affix the earring to the converter. (http://www.beadaholique.com/images/PRODUCT/medium/9234.jpg)Earrings with a hole above the decorative portion are the best option for conversion. See the picture for an example of an earring that could be converted. Use a pair of pliers or scissors to cut off the pierced earring portion, leaving only the top circle and the decorative portion.
-
Step 2
Loosen the portion of the earring converter that will hold the earring converter, just opening enough to slide the circle of your new earring on!

Step 3
The finished product! Make sure it is tightly closed so the earring won't slip off later.

Step 4
If you have not worn clip-on earrings before, it may be necessary to try on the converted earring and wear it only for a couple of hours. The pressure of the clip on earring can cause the ear to itch or be painful.
