You can't have a party without it. This is my recipe for what I think is the best Chili Cheese Dip

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 9x13 Baking Pan
  • Spatula
  • 20-30 Minutes
  1. Step 1

First, you spread 2-8oz bricks of Philadelphia Cream Cheese evenly on the bottom of your 9x13 baking pan. We found that after experimenting with other cream cheese that the Philadelphia brand stands out. Also pre-heat the oven to about 350 around this time.

  2. Step 2

Next, take 2-15oz cans of Hormel Chili with no beans and spread that evenly over the cream cheese. If you like some spice you could add some jalapeno peppers with the chili also

  3. Step 3

Now as far as this last step, either your a cheese lover or not. ...I am. So when I make this I put 2-8oz bags of Mexican Cheese evenly over the top of the chili. For you non cheese lovers I'm sure 1-8oz bag will do. I know there is a picture of Sargento Mexican Cheese next to this step but I will tell you that store brand is fine.

  4. Step 4

The final step involves putting it in the oven for 20-30 minutes (Depending on cheese melting preference). Take it out carefully with oven mitts and let it sit for a few minutes. Then take your favorite tortilla chip and enjoy. I prefer Tostitos Scoops to get the best out of my bites.

  5. Step 5

Thank me for the best chili cheese dip you've ever tasted .... just kidding, I do hope you enjoy it though

Tips & Warnings
  • For those counting calories use Philadelphia Cream Cheese with 1/3 less fat and lite Mexican Cheese. You wont really sacrifice the taste.
