Step 1
The first step in properly cleaning your blue jeans is to turn them inside out. A good pair of indigo colored jeans can loose a lot of color in the wash. Turning them inside out will help slow the color loss process.

Step 2
Next set your wash to cold with like colors. Remember that indigo and other dark colored jeans may loose color and dye other clothes so make sure you are washing them with other jeans or like colored clothes.

Step 3
When your jeans are removed from the washer place them on a low setting in the dryer or hang them on a hanger and let them air dry from your fan. The latter of the two is the best option. Air drying will prevent shrinkage and keep the jeans color for a longer period of time.
