If you have children, chances are you go through a lot of cereal. And what are you doing with the empty boxes? Tossing them out, right? Did you know you can have fun with cereal boxes? Well, maybe you can't have fun with them but your kids sure can!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Empty cereal boxes
  1. Step 1

Empty cereal boxes make great building blocks. Kids can build tall towers or pyramids or even forts! They can be temporary buildings or the boxes can be glued together to make a more permanent playhouse.

  2. Step 2

Storing cereal boxes can be a challenge. If you are saving up boxes to build a playhouse that you will glue together, you can store the boxes flat until you are ready to start building. But if you are using them as blocks that your child will use over and over again, consider stacking them in the corners of the playroom or better yet, you could have an entire wall of shelves just for the boxes.

  3. Step 3

You might think that saving boxes for your child to play with is silly. But I promise you, before computers, kids played with things like this! They can even take the boxes outside on a nice day. Imagine that... a kid playing outside and being creative at the same time!
