How to Install Shower Curtain Rods
Installing a shower curtain rod is easy and should only take a few minutes. Some shower curtain rods are made to simply wedge in between the two walls of the shower, and require no tools or permanent installation. - Shower curtain rod Rod mount brackets Shower curtain and hanging rings Pencil Tape measure Level Cordless drill and screwdriver bits

Determine the length of your shower curtain from the package. Measure that length from 5 to 7 inches off the floor of the tub and mark the height on the wall. Repeat the measurement and mark the opposite side of the shower wall.

Secure mounting bracket to each shower wall by drilling at the two marks you made. Make sure that the open bracket is facing up.

Once the brackets are in place, install the rod into the brackets. Place the rod in the closed bracket first, then slid it into the open bracket.

Tips & Warnings
Mount the brackets tight to the wall to prevent mold buildup.
Don't over tighten the screws into the wall. Holes in drywall expand easily, and may make your brackets loose.
