A color copy machine can make any document more vivid and bold, especially if charts and diagrams are included. Using a color copier is similar to using a traditional black-and-white copier. When making multiple copies, it's important to make sure that there is enough ink in the machine so the copies will be bright and colorful.

How to Use a Color Copy Machine

  1. Step 1

Place the document you want to copy face down on the glass surface of the copy machine.

  2. Step 2

Make a test copy to determine if there is enough ink to produce crisp, clean copies. If colors seem faded or choppy, it may be time to change ink cartridges.

  3. Step 3

Select the number of copies you want to make. Adjust color settings to achieve the desired result.

  4. Step 4

Press 'copy' or 'print' depending on the model of copy machine you own to begin making copies. If making copies of multiple pages, copy the desired amount of each page and then switch pages until all pages have been copied.

  5. Step 5

Check each copy to ensure that all pages are legible.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep extra color ink cartridges on hand so you can change them when needed.
  • If color copies are still faded or dull after changing the ink cartridge, contact the manufacturer or copy-machine technician, as there may be an internal issue.
