1
Locate the Avery 8195 Template for Microsoft Word (see Resources section below). You can also visit Avery.com, click on the "Find a Template" link, enter "8195" in the Search Templates search field, click the blue arrow and select "Return Address Label" and "60 per sheet--Microsoft Word All Versions (blank template)" from the results list.
-
2
Download the template to your computer by clicking on the "Download Template" button. A new window will pop up, where you will have to enter name and email address. Use a fake name and account if you don't wish to receive and email communications from Avery. Select "Yes" or "No" for email preferences, and then click "Submit." A download box will appear for the file, named U-0363-01_P.doc. Choose "Open with MS Word" or "Save File" and click the "OK" button.

-
3
Open the file by selecting "Star," "My Recent Document" and "U-0363-01_P.doc" (if you chose to save the file). If you can't find it on the list, look in "My Computer,""C:," and "Program Files." It should be in the list of single files (outside of folders). The file will open in Microsoft Word, and you'll be ready to begin creating your return address label.
-
4
Choose the font type, size, color and placement (center, right or left) for your label, then type in the information for the label. When you've completed a line, all you need do is hit "Enter" to begin the next line. The preset font size is 8, but you can use a size 9 or 10, depending on the font you choose and whether you choose to use standard or bold font strength.
-
5
Print a test page on regular printer paper first to make sure that your return address information will fit on the labels. Insert Avery 8195 label sheets into printer, face down or face up, depending on which side the print is written on. If you are unsure, watch how your test sheet comes out when it is printed.
-
6
Click "File," "Print," adjust your printer settings to your preference, then click "OK."
