The two big focuses in today's America are living green and living on a budget. By using DVD cases you already own to create a piece of art, you're saving the planet - including your wallet.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 42 DVD cases
  • 42 3M Poster Strips
  • 42 black and white 5x7 photos
  1. Step 1

Pick out 42 of your favorite digital photographs (landscape orientation only). These can be people or places, but a mixture generally works best. Use any type of photo software you choose to turn any color photos to grayscale, or use the free online service picnik.com. Upload these grayscale photos to Winkflash.com and order 5x7 prints.

  2. Step 2
The DVD case should be opened to its widest point.

Select 42 of your cleanest DVD cases and remove the inside cover art. To do this with ease, open the case and lay flat on the tabletop, sliding the insert out.

  3. Step 3

Insert one 5x7 photograph in the front of each DVD case with the spine of the case as the top.

  4. Step 4

Cut each 3M Poster Strip in half and place one half on each top back corner of the cases. Allow to rest for 5 minutes before proceeding.

  5. Step 5

Lay out the 42 cases on a flat surface to arrange an attractive grouping.

  6. Step 6

Using a level, remove adhesive backing from wall side of 3M strip and place on the wall in formation, beginning with the four center cases and working outward.
