Start your spring cleaning by going through the garage, attic, basement, and closets. These storage spaces have the potential to be holding fast cash items. Pull out anything you haven't used in the last year or that you have duplicates of. Look for things like holiday decorations, halloween costumes, yard tools, appliance parts, boxes of clothes, toys, trinkets and books.

Gather everything you've pulled out and put it in one central location such as the garage. Sort the items into two groups: damaged and still useful/good condition. Think of this second piles as the potential money maker!

    Throw out broken items

Anything that your spring cleaning produced, that is now in the damaged pile, should be put out with the trash. Everything else has the potential to make money.

  4. Step 4

Clothes, toys, electronics, decorations, books, and whatever else you have (that's in decent shape) you should sell on Ebay. You may have better luck making money on Ebay by selling like items in lots, or groups.

  5. Step 5
    Make money online

Whatever items haven't sold after the first ebay auction should be listed on craigslist. Don't relist the items on ebay since you'll have to pay to relist them. The good thing about selling items on craigslist is you can advertise them for free.

  6. Step 6

Whatever spring cleaning gems don't sell should be put up for sale at a yard sale. People buy anything and everything at yardsales. If you really want to get rid of the junk and make money - price it to sell! If you don't have enough stuff to organize a worthwhile garage sale, yourself, talk to your neighbors about doing some spring house cleaning of their own. This way you can all make some fast cash.

  7. Step 7

If you still have items remaining after your yard sale - face it - they're not likely to make money. These items should be donated, but never thrown out.
