Writing a proper letter can repair your credit score and improve your credit rating when negotiated properly. These free ideas will help you write a proper credit repair letter sample.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with word processing capability or typewriter
  • paper
  • copies of credit ratings
  • debt settlement amounts
  1. Step 1

    Write in your name, address, and zip code followed by today's date at the top.

  2. Step 2

    Put the credit companies name, address, and zip below followed by your account number for their reference.

  3. Step 3

    Address the letter to the person you spoke to on the phone if you can.

  4. Step 4

    Explain or reiterate your previous bad credit situation and your current resolutions. List your bad credit dollar amount and any changes allowing you to pay such as new job or business opportunity.

  5. Step 5

    Write your proposed credit repair solution and your terms. Make sure to include maximum amount you are free to pay and only when you receive letter agreeing to change your credit report score.

  6. Step 6

    Hand write your name, signature , and the current date followed below with your full typed name and typed date.

Tips & Warnings
  • Negotiate a bad credit repair agreeing to payment only if you receive a letter indicating a notification to your credit company for 'Paid As Agreed' or to request a deletion of their statement to your credit companies.
  • Never agree to credit repair terms such as add payment to pnl or charge off for additional time.
  • Agree to send them cashiers check only after you receive their letter of agreement to repair your credit score.
