Can you work in a noisy, busy environment? a professional kitchen is a busy place with lots of movement, lots of chefs and waiters going around and lots of things cooking at the same time. Can you handle this or are you the type of person who needs a quiet environment?

Are you a detailed thinker? Baking pastry requires you to plan out every detail. Even the smallest change can reduce the quality of your of your baked goods. If you are the type of person who cannot delve into the nitty-gritty, than a pastry chef degree might not be for you.
