How to Make Butter Maple Flavored Pancake Waffle Syrup

You can make your own wonderful butter maple flavored syrup for pancakes and waffles and enjoy the delicious results. Keep these ingredients on hand and never again worry about running out of syrup when the store is closed. Why not start a new family tradition making your own homemade syrup? Better than store bought because it is made with love.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 cups white [granulated] sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 3 Tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons butter flavoring
  • 1 teaspoon maple extract
  • cooking pot
  • stirring spoon
  • stove top heat source
  1. Step 1

    Add all food ingredients to cooking pot and bring all to a good rolling boil, stirring with spoon until sugar dissolves.

  2. Step 2
     

    Turn off burner, but leave pot on burner until bubbling stops.

  3. Step 3
     

    Serve over pancakes or waffles.

  4. Step 4
     

    Syrup can be poured into clean glass mason jars with lids, or into rinsed out empty grocery store syrup jugs, and stored in the refrigerator. Glass mason jars without the lids can be reheated in the microwave. Either glass or plastic can be rewarmed by "letting set" in very warm water prior to serving.
