Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Collect the petals from the roses, enough for 4 cups. Trim the white off the base of the petals. The white part will cause the jam to be bitter.

  2. Step 2

Rinse off the rose petals, in a bowl or colander, and drain. Make sure they are dirt and bug free.

  3. Step 3

In a saucepan, on medium-high heat, add 4 cups of water, 2 cups of sugar and 1/2 cup of lemon juice.

  4. Step 4

When the sugar is melted, stir in the rose petals and let simmer for about 10 minutes.

  5. Step 5

Bring the heat back up to a boil. Let it boil until you can drop a small spoon full, of the mixture, on a cold plate and it will jell and hold its shape.

  6. Step 6

Pour hot Jam mixture into a clean jar and enjoy!
