You will learn how to make dependable snow shoes.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Either two chairs with woven back in the shape of an oval and
  • two scarfs or peices o rope
  • two branches
  • some long grass or vines
  1. Step 1

If you chose the chairs then kick the backs of them out and check to see if your foot will fit on it.
If you chose using branches then soak them until they become pliable.

  2. Step 2

For the chairs: If your foot fits then holding the chairs back length wise poke two holes on either side and thread the scarfs or rope through them knotting them on both sides.
For the branches: once they are pliable then bend them into an oval shape big enough for your foot to fit inside.

  3. Step 3

Once you do that then take the long grass or vines and weave it around and through the branches sides in a tight weave so that no water or moisture gets through. Or so that when you stand on top of the snow your feet don't sink into the snow.

  4. Step 4

once your finished weaving then poke holes in either side so that you can thread rope through them to secure the snow shoe to your foot.
