Make Your own Cleaning Spray
Make Your own Cleaning Spray

With the current economic situation many of us are cutting corners. Why not cut corners and live healthier - cut down on the toxics we bring into our home with over the counter cleaners we use? Why not make our own non-toxic variety and save money and the environment.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 teaspoon borax
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon washing soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon liquid castile soap
  • 2 cups very hot water
  1. Step 1

Combine all ingredients in a plastic spray bottle. You can often find spray bottles at the 99 Cent Stores.

  2. Step 2

Shake the mixture together in the spray bottle. If you want to have a special sent in your home you can add drops of essential oils to the mixture. In it's current state little it does not leave odor.

  3. Step 3

Use anywhere as needed. Strong enough to kill germs and viruses. Brighten and cleans surfaces. I made this after watching someone clean his dingy cabinets with this mixture and I was amazed. I don't bring in extra chemicals into my home when there is this simple option.

Tips & Warnings
  • make a bottle to keep in bathroom and one for under the kitchen sink
  • do your research on chemicals found in the average cleaning supplies
