  • Time
  • Patience
  • Storage Bins
  • Labels

  • Shelving
  1. Step 1

Use stackable containers for toys and craft supplies. Put a picture of what is inside so that your child will not have to open each one to find what they are looking for. Since the containers are stackable, they too take up less space than just lying around.

  2. Step 2

Take advantage of space under the bed for organization. This space is perfect for things that are not going to be used all the time like blankets. Putting extra blankets here keeps the closet open for things that are used more often.

  3. Step 3

Put dividers in dresser drawers keep clothes organized and in easy reach. Simple cardboard or plastic can make great dividers on the cheap. Your local hardware store may be able to help with this project with either custom making them or purchasing for your child's room.
