Things You'll Need:
- 9 INCH round size pan
- 2 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 unsalted butter
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup sour cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Butter a 9" round pan (or spray with non-stick cooking spray)

In a large mixing bowl sift together 2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder, 1/4 tsp of salt, 1/2 tsp of baking soda and set aside

Take 1 cup of butter (equal to one stick) and cut into the flour mixture until it resembles small peas. Then add the 1 cup of raisins.

Next in small bowl beat the 1 large egg, add 1 1/4 cup of buttermilk and 1/4 cup of sour cream until blended.

Then add the egg mixture to the dry mixture and stir until just blended.

Step 7
Transfer batter to 9" round pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
