Germs are abundant in air travel. Follow these guidelines to stay germ-free and stay healthy while you travel.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Skin Care Products
  • Hand Sanitizers
  1. Step 1

Traveling can be a great experience, but it must be done with caution. If you are thinking of traveling and worried about getting sick, please follow my advice. A wealth of bacteria, germs, and other ways to get sick are flowing through the air and in your seat. With 100's of daily passengers, it's easy to guesstimate that at least a few of them have some sort of cold or illness they are battling.

  2. Step 2

Always carry some sort of sanitization kleenex. Something with an acid that fights germs is key in order of staving off and killing germs. When you touch the seat, the bathroom stall, and especially the often-read books and reading material in the seatback, you are exposing yourself to germs. Make sure to always keep your hands sanitized. The more often, the better. I also carry with my skin moisturizers. Did you know that flying frequently can dry out your skin, due to the poor air quality? I keep my skin moist while trying to keep my immune system strong as well.

  3. Step 3

Refrain from using the bathroom if you can. This is an obvious germ destination and isn't as sanitary as most places you would use the restroom. Board the plane last and exit first if possible. The more time you spend on board the aircraft, the longer you will be breathing in the exhales of other passengers.

  4. Step 4

Take proper cautions with children. Don't let them play on the floor, as they normally try to do. The more they touch, feel, and grasp, the better the chances they put their hands in their mouths (all kids do this) and spread something.

Tips & Warnings
  • Bring sanitizing lotion or wipes
  • Try not to use the restroom

on 3/16/2009 Good tips since the upcoming month of April is a nice month for many vacations. Also, step #4 is critical since children explore when bored and an airplane is a perfect location.
