Things You'll Need:
- An Internet Connection
- A Computer
- A Printer
- A Grocery Shopping List
- A Coupon Organizer
- Store Circular and/or Newspaper Coupon Inserts
-
Step 1
CREATE A GROCERY SHOPPING LIST: Begin by going through your refrigerator, pantry and kitchen cabinets to determine what groceries will be purchased this week. Create your grocery shopping list.
-
Step 2
CHECK THE STORE CIRCULAR AND SUNDAY PAPER COUPON INSERTS FOR GROCERY COUPONS: Start your search for grocery coupons in the weekly grocery store circular or in the grocery store coupon inserts found in the newspaper. If possible, you'll want to clip coupons found in the circular or in the newspaper's grocery store coupon insert. Many stores are hesitant to accept printed coupons, so if you can find a pre-printed store or manufacturer-issued coupon first, it's usually best to use this over a printable grocery coupon from the internet.
-
Step 3
CHECK OFF GROCERY LIST ITEMS AS YOU FIND A COUPON: As you find coupons for each grocery item on your list, make a notation next to the grocery item so you don't end up searching for a grocery coupon when you already have one.
-
Step 4
CONFIRM THAT YOUR FAVORITE GROCERY STORE ACCEPTS GROCERY COUPONS PRINTED FROM THE INTERNET. Due to the high incidence of counterfeit coupons, some stores do not accept printed coupons from the internet. So before you spend time searching for coupons online, call or visit the grocery store's customer service desk and confirm that they'll accept printable grocery coupons.
-
Step 5
SEARCH GROCERY COUPON WEBSITES. Once you confirm that your local grocery store will accept printed coupons from the internet, search a few coupon websites for coupons for the shopping list items that you don't have coupons for. Most grocery coupon websites will allow you to search for coupons by brand name or category (i.e. diaper coupons, bleach coupons, etc.) Some great coupon websites that will help you save money on grocery bills include Coupons.com, PPGazette.com and CouponMountain.com
-
Step 6
PRINT OUT COUPONS FOR THE GROCERIES ON YOUR LIST. Print the grocery coupons using your home desktop printer and place the grocery coupons and shopping list inside your coupon organizer and present the coupons at the register on your weekly shopping trip!
