The acrobatic stitch is extremely easy to do and works up fast. The clusters of stitches come together to form several open circles throughout the finished fabric, giving it a unique look and feel.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Chain in multiples of six to desired length, plus chain three more. Work two double crochets in third chain from hook. * Chain four, skip five chain spaces and work five double crochets into next chain space. Repeat from * across, ending with three double crochet at last repeat. Chain two and turn.

  2. Step 2

    Skip first three stitches and work * three double crochet, chain three, three double crochet all in next chain four space. Skip next five stitches and repeat from * across. Skip last two and work one double into top of turning chain. Chain five and turn.

  3. Step 3

    * Work five double crochet into next chain three arch. Chain four and repeat from * across, ending with chaining one and working one double crochet into top of turning chain. Chain five and turn.

  4. Step 4

    Three double crochet into first chain one space. * Skip next five stitches and work, three double crochet, chain three, three double crochet, all in next chain four space. Repeat from * across, ending with three double crochet, chain one, one double crochet into previous turning chain. Chain three and turn.

  5. Step 5

    Work two double crochet into first chain one space. * Chain four and work five double crochet into next chain three arch. Repeat from * across, ending with three double crochet into previous turning chain. - Repeat from step two for pattern.
