Make Green Beer
Make Green Beer

Green beer is commonly celebrated on Saint Patrick's day. It is a fun and exciting way to celebrate and enjoy good tasting beer with friends and family. For those of you celebrating at home, here are a few tips to help you achieve that perfect green color.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Green or blue food dye
  • Light ale
  • Yellow Beer
  1. Step 1

To make a bright green beer, you will need to mix 1-2 drops of green food dye into a light beer, then mix. If you prefer not to mix your beer, you can always add the food dye to your glass first and then add your beer second to mix naturally.

    * Remember to choose light beers when mixing, this will pick up the green food coloring best, creating a bright vibrant color.

  2. Step 2

For those of you looking to create a darker green beer, I would suggest using a yellow beer and blue food dye. By mixing these two colors, you will create a starker looking green.

  3. Step 3

I do not recommend using a dark beer such as Guinness. Darker beers require much more food dye to achieve a green color. Using too much food coloring will stain your teeth. But if you don't mind having green teeth, go for it!
