Things You'll Need:
- fillable plastic eggs
- assorted candy
- prizes
-
Step 1
Plan on where you are going to hold your hunt. I live in the northeast and depending on Easter is, it can be cold or warm. Be prepared to hold your hunt indoors if the weather turns nasty! Spring can be unpredictable. If you are going to hold it outdoors, scout out where you will hide the eggs. Indoors you can limit your hunt to one floor of your home or a family room.
-
Step 2
Go shopping for your hunt items. I have a lot of luck at the dollar store. Walmart is also good for buying items in bulk. You are going to need fillable eggs. I figure atleast 10 eggs per child. You also need baskets for them to collect the eggs in. You can get plastic totes or even colorful bags.
-
Step 3
Depending on how many children you will have at your hunt you can choose to do a hunt that limits the children to how many eggs they are allowed to pick up. Another option is to fill some eggs with candy and some with numbers. The numbers can correspond with gifts that you wrap and number. The gifts can be small and simple. A book or a box of crayons. Just have fun with it1 It isn't about the gifts, it's about the hunt!
