Stop wasting your money and get whiter teeth with the cheapest possible methods!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hydorgen peroxide
  • Act Repleneshing Mouthwash
  • A lemon
  • Salt
  1. Step 1

We all want whiter teeth. Due to variations in how much flouride we got as children our teeth can only be so white naturally and it varies from person to person. Those pearly whites some people flash are often caps or veneers, very expensive and NOT their own teeth. But do not waste your money on white strips or other fake promises. They do work, but there are cheap at home ways to achieve results as good if not better.

  2. Step 2

Use a flouride toothpaste that also has some "whitening formula". Always brush at least twice daily and floss. In the mornings and before bed use Act replenishing mouthwash. It is fortifide with flouride and will fill in weak areas, some of what I am about to say is why this is important as it can in itself erode some of your enamal, as can most whitening regiments.

  3. Step 3

Once a week put pure salt on your toothbrush and brush your teeth with this. It is abrasive, tastes awful and should be reserved for severe stained areas but lightly can go over all areas.

Twice a week use lemon or lemon juice (must be pure) and brush your teeth with this as you would your normal toothpaste.

After each time you brush your teeth swish with Hydrogen Peroxide. It is essentially the same thing used in most whitening regimes and it costs next to nothing at your local pharmacy. A bottle will last about a month. Leave it in as it bubbles all over your teeth. Usually you will notice it is bubbling on areas that have more discoloration. That is oxidation and part of the whitening process. It also is a debriding agent and will remove plaque and bacterial buildup, you can even gargle it if you feel a soar throat coming on as often times these are anaerobic (non air breathing) bacteria and the extra oxygen in hydrogen peroxide will be enough to kill the bacteria (an added benefit). Your teeth will be whiter, feel cleaner and healthier in about two weeks!

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not use too much salt or more often. It is abrasive and takes off enamel.
  • Same as above for lemon juice!
  • Make sure to use the Act Replenishing Mouthwash to replenish any and all soft spots and loss of enamel.
  • Follow the rules above and there are no warnings. BUT if you have decay these steps can cause further decay so a good dental check up should be done before doing this. Your dentist will not necessarily approve but then again he/she wants you to use his/her services to whiten your teeth, and minimally their methods are uncomfortable, often cause more weakness and almost inevitably cause sensitivy for days, weeks or longer after the procedure!
