Instructions
  1. Step 1

First of all remove all necessary things you don't want or taking them will cost you more than buying new. Categorize clothes, toys, utensils, plastic tub etc and place them accordingly in different bags and give for donation or have garage sale. This is very imp step to clean up unwanted things as it will make room for other imp stuff.

  2. Step 2

For packing clothes, there is excellent option that will cover much less space then you have ever image. Use "SPACE BAGS" from www.bjs.com. This is very cost effective for packing comforter, pillows, sweaters, clothes etc. They are vacuum bags. You filled everything in the bag and just suck the air through your house vacuum. It squeezes like from 5 ft to 2 ft..This product is awesome.

Pack your glass crockery and other utensils by wrapping around paper or cloth and place it in between bag or where it get more cushion

  4. Step 4

For all other extra stuff use boxes. Pack your extra pair of shoes, clothes in boxes. Cheapest way to parcel them is through USPS using parcel service. It reaches to your new address in about 7 days.

For books and CDs (no software) use MEDIA MAIL option in USPS. They are most cost effective. For 70 lbs they charge only $26. If you want to parcel your luggage bag, then FEDEX is good.
