Adding extensions to your hair is very easy. You could go to a hair stylist which you would pay big bucks or you could very well do it from your very own home. If you do this at home I would recommend you have a friend around to place the hair as you would like it. Doing this alone could result in a terrible disaster because you cannot see the back of your head and the worst thing that can happen is to place glue on your hair. Or if you've done it alone before keep up the good work. When you glue in extensions you want to make the hair look as natural as possible. See some of my suggestions on how to glue in your extensions successfully.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Extensions that you want to use
  • Glue
  • Comb
  • Blow Dryer
  1. Step 1

Already have a picture in your mind how you would like hair to look afterwards. Extensions (track) comes in circles. You do not just keep gluing in circles you cut accordingly. Start with the back of your hair below the ears and by the neck. Cut two pieces the both sized from ear to ear. You do not glue track to the very back of neck. You part hair and comb some down first and then add extension. Do this all the way to the top of head or crown area.

  2. Step 2

So from step 1 you see that the pattern is your hair, extension, your hair, extension from the bottom to the top. Next is to place a line of glue onto the attaching part of the extensions. Be careful not to use too much glue this will ultimately glue your real hair down and be a hassle to get out. After parting hair and putting glue on the extensions; carefully place the glued extension on the parted skin. DO NOT place the glued extension onto the hair.

  3. Step 3

Press on the extensions holding them into place try not to let them slide around. While you hold in place blow dry the parted area where you have placed the extensions. After going through this process over and over it should seem a bit more easy. Remember, you will be using your hair to cover all of the glued extensions so please keep this in mind.

  4. Step 4

After all extensions (track) have been laid, glue dried and your hair is out on top. You can now style hair as normal and be careful not to pull on extensions because they can still come out.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be careful not to place glue extensions onto the hair.
  • Make sure glue is dry before continuing.
  • Cut the extensions, do not use them the way they arrive in the package.
  • It's easier to remove glued extensions if they are put in the hair correctly if the glue is on the hair when it's time to remove please visit your local beauty supply store for a chemical called glue removal.
  • Enjoy!
