How to Create a Wedding Fan Party Favor

If you're planning a summer wedding, personalized fans can be a cheap, easy wedding favor. They're also useful if you are planning an outdoor wedding or your wedding venue lacks air conditioning. You can create fans with a photo of the bride and groom or use a meaningful poem or passage of scripture.

Instructions

    • 1

Choose a photo of the bride and groom or a meaningful poem or passage of scripture to use on the fan.

    • 2

Use a word processing program to create the fan. You can place the image on the fan and use the poem or scripture at the bottom. Or you can find a pleasing font and use only the poem or scripture.

    • 3

Print the fan design on cardstock.

    • 4

Cut out the fan to the desired shape. You can make this any shape you like, but the traditional shape is a rectangle with rounded corners. Upside-down triangles and even circles will work as well.

    • 5

Paint the paint stick the color of your choice and let it dry.

    • 6

Staple the paint stick to the back of the fan so part of the stick hangs down below the fan. Be strategic in placing the stick so your staples don't end up in the middle of the bride's and groom's faces.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be careful when operating the Staple Gun. These are more powerful staplers than the traditional stapler.
