Check with your favorite stores to see if they offer any customer awards points. Some of the major retails stores offer a program that after you spend so much you get special savings.

Shop online through cash back websites like Mr Rebates. Not only do you get a percent back on your purchases, you can find special promotions and coupon codes to use at check out. Another great site is dealigg.com, they keep track of all the available coupons to several popular stores. Some coupons are for online shopping and many are links to printable coupons to take to the store. Both sites are 100% free.

Step 4
Shop seasons ahead. When you start seeing great summer outfits come out in May don't sweat it. In July it goes on clearance and they start selling for fall. January, May, July and November are all great clearance months.

August is back to school shopping. Even if you don't go to school there are still great sales. The stores know parents are buying school clothes for their kids. In order to attract the buyers to their stores they compete with each other by offering great deals.

Watch for buy one get one 50% off sales. Double up with a coupon and add up your savings.

on 5/23/2009 You nailed it; ways to pay less for new clothes. Did you know you can also buy brand name clothes, new with the tags still attached, for less, on ebay? Just search like: Liz Claiborne NWT sweater or Fresh Produce NWT dress. NWT = new with tags. We dont know (or want to know-?) how they get these and sell so inexpensively, we're just happy for the bargain price.
