Instructions
  1. Step 1

    The dribbling basketball drill begins with the player in a ready position, with knees slightly bent and bending forward from the waist.

  2. Step 2

    The player first begins dribbling basketball trying to get a steady rhythm going, and then dribbles the ball out and around the back between both legs and then performing the same action around the other leg.

  3. Step 3

    This part of the drill can be performed as many times as necessary to develop a steady and consistent dribbling basketball rhythm, making sure to maintain thorough control of the ball at all times.

  4. Step 4

    This dribbling basketball drill can further be expanded to include the same maneuver, only with the player dribbling basketball closer towards the ground in tighter bounces.

  5. Step 5

    The ball is again dribbled out and behind one leg and out from between the legs, alternating between both legs.

  6. Step 6

    This should also be done as many times as necessary to develop a fluid and consistent dribbling basketball rhythm with as much control as possible maintained at all times.

  • These types of ball handling drills are particularly helpful for both offensive and defensive maneuvers, and can prevent your opponent from stealing the ball from you as well as enhance your overall dribbling basketball skills.
