How to Remove Hotbar

Remove Hotbar in no time. Hotbar is a program that allows the user to customize their internet explorer browser. However after installation, the Hotbar program downloads ads onto the user's computer which can be annoying. This article will teach you how to uninstall and remove the Hotbar program.

1. 

   Go to control panel and click on the programs and features icon. Click on Add or Remove Programs if using an OS other than Vista. Click uninstall. Removing the program is not enough. Even with an uninstall it still leaves traces behind.

   Cleaning your computer's registry will permanately delete Hotbar. Close all browser windows. Install a registry cleaner and delete ONLY the following registries:

   HKey_Current_User\Software\Hotbar
   HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Hotbar
   HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\B195B3B3-8A05-11D3-97A4-0004ACA6948E
   HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform\Hotbar 3.0

3. 

   Restart your computer. Run a disk clean up and defragment your hard drive. Update all spy ware and ad ware programs and run a scan. Once you have cleaned up your computer, restart it once more.
