How to Make Space in a Small Room

If you are in need of some small room solutions there are some tips you can use to make space in any size room.

1. The color of the room will make a big differences in the optical illusion of space. Select lighter colors to paint walls, ceilings and trim. Avoid hanging too many decorations on the wall as this can take away the look of space.

2. Open up your windows. Again choose light or white color blinds. The same with curtains and drapes. Avoid fluffy drapes or layered curtains.

3. Clean out the room of unnecessary furniture and decor. Select furniture that is light, not too bulky, overstuffed or too tall. Use furniture pieces that can double up as storage spaces. Rugs however should be large as to not draw the walls in.

4. Pick bright colors pillows and throw blankets to add that splash of color and warmth to your room. This also help to draw attention away from space.
