Guide To Hair Removal Pt 2

My previous article on hair removal focused on the most common methods ,some that can be actually done at home and a few that requires a professional or beautician. The hair removal techniques that are going to be mentioned in this article requires a trained and licensed technician and should never be done by someone who is not a professional. These hair removal techniques cover, lasers to electrolysis and sugaring continue reading to pick the hair removal technique that will work best for your skin.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Sugaring is a hair removal that is not very popular but is best used on sensitive skin.Sugaring removes hair with a gel like formula which ingredients includes sugar, lemon and water. The sugar solution is applied to the hair and removed in the same way as waxing.Sugaring is best used on the face ,underarms, bikini, arms and legs.

  2. Step 2

Very popular is using lasers for hair removal.Although this method doesn't get rid of hair permanently ,the results can last for months and new hair growths may be thinner. This hair removal works by using lasers that release a light that destroys the hair follicles.Laser removal may require a few sessions and each session can cost from $90.00 and up. Lasers is best used on the underarms, face, arms, back stomach and legs.

  3. Step 3

Electrolysis is a method that removes hair permanently with electric current.A trained technician inserts a needle into the hair follicle and passes an electric current which is transformed into heat ,through the hair follicle. Each hair is treated individually so the hair removal process may take a few sessions.Electrolysis removes hair from your face, underarms ,arms ,stomach and bikini area.

  4. Step 4

Intense Pulse Light or (IPL) is a non permanent laser like hair removal technique.Multiple wavelengths of light beam into follicles and destroy the hair. This method significantly reduces hair growth after repeated treatments and must be done by a trained, licensed technician or professional. This method is best used on the face ,stomach or bikini area.

Tips & Warnings
  • Because you are dealing with your skin make sure the aesthetician is licensed ,schedule a consultation ,check out the environment make sure it is clean and pleasant and ask all necessary questions. If possible get referrals and trust your instincts.Remember this is your skin and they are using, lasers and electric currents so it is essential that this person knows what they are doing.
  • Intense Pulse Light is unsafe for people of color because it can cause some serious scaring and discoloration which is unattractive.
