Step 1
Go to swagbucks.com {or use the link at the bottom of the article} and click the register button on the upper left hand corner of the page.

Fill out all the required information, making sure to use a valid email address. They do not send out spam or marketing emails, so there is no need to use a disposable email. Validate your account as soon as you get the email, which should be in 5 minutes or less.

Step 3
After you validate your account, go back to the main swagbucks home page. You can either choose to search through the website, or to download the search plug-in. I recommend the search plug-in which makes it much easier to remember to search through swagbucks.

Step 4
Perform your regular internet searches using the toolbar. Swagbucks search uses a combination of Google and ASK search engines, so results are great. You normally will get points varying from $1 swagbuck to $20 swagbucks, but sometimes they are more than that. You typically get swagbucks two to three times a day for searching.

Step 5
Accumulate swagbucks until you have the desired amount for your chosen gift card, which can be found in the prizes section. Cash in, validate the order, and wait for your gift card to show up in the my gift cards section of your account.
