- Webcam or Video Camera

Step 1
Create an AccountCreate a YouTube account. Visit YouTube.com and register with the site. Although it is possible to view most videos without an account, it is required to create an account to upload videos.

Invest in a WebcamUse a webcam or a video camera to film your video. Depending on what you are filming, it should not be more than ten minutes long. Keep in mind that the cheaper the camera is, the lower the quality of video.

Install Windows Movie MakerOpen the program Windows Movie Maker. Go to File and start a new project. Under the file tab click import media. Transfer your video to Windows Movie Maker. If your webcam is built into your computer, the video files may be in a public folder. Be sure to check both the public folder and the video folder.

Drag Video Onto Story BoardDrag the image of your video to the first box on the bottom of the screen. Add transitioning effects by clicking on the effects tab in the edit section under tasks on the left hand side.

Add Music Into the TimelineAdd music by clicking on story board and highlight time line. Import any audio that you want and drag it to its desired position in the time line. To move the audio around, simply drag the file. To split it into separate sections, highlight the section you want split and click on the icon labeled split on the right side under the video preview screen.

Right click on the audio file to fade it in or out. Audio levels and volume can also be adjusted.

Publish Your VideoPreview your video to make sure that it is OK. Click on the publish movie tab under file. sign into your YouTube account and click on My Account. Click on the new tab and highlight video upload. Browse for your video then click upload video. Depending on length of the video, it could take anywhere between 5 to ten minutes to upload and as much as an hour to process.

Wait For it to Process After UploadingView your video once it is processed. Add relevant tags and keywords to generate more hits. Make sure the title and description are in your keywords. Suscribe to users and add them as friends. Commenting on videos is a great way to get your video channel noticed.
