Each year, the federally-funded Job Corps program provides free career training to more than 60,000 teenagers and young adults. Training is available in a wide variety of career areas, including health care, security, automotive, bookkeeping, computer technology, education, engineering, heavy equipment operators, and many, many other areas. Most of the focus is on vocational training to learn specific skills. Job Corps is more than just a jobs-development program, as if offers assistance in many other areas of life as well.
