You don't have to pay a fortune to buy your own domain name. Domain names are used in URL's to identify particular web pages. Though some companies pay large amounts for a particular domain name, anymore, there are many companies offering inexpensive domain names so that just about anyone can afford to buy their own.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

All of the resources mentioned in this article can be linked to directly by visiting the Resources section of this article.

  2. Step 2
    GoDaddy.com Domain Names

    GoDaddy.com Domain Names

One of the more popular companies offering domain names at an expensive price is Godaddy.com. They offer domain names for as low as $6.99 per year. It is simple to search for available domain names through Godaddy.com, and if your searched domain name is not available, they will suggest similar domain names.

  3. Step 3
    Cheap-DomainsNames.com

Another popular domain name company is Cheap-DomainNames.com. Starting at just $8.95/year, you can buy a domain name, and along with your purchase, you get a starter web page free.

  4. Step 4
    Domainsarefree.com

    Domainsarefree.com

Domainsarefree.com offers a free domain name when you pay a small fee for web hosting. They also offer 24/7 toll-free customer support , free site-builder, marketing tools and more.

  5. Step 5
    HostingDude.com

    HostingDude.com

Try Hostingdude.com where you can purchase a domain name for $1.99 per year, which includes a free website with free hosting and free design.

  6. Step 6
    BuyDomains.com

    BuyDomains.com

BuyDomains.com is an excellent source for finding and purchasing a domain name. Unlike the other resources mentioned, this company would not be considered inexpensive, but my reason for mentioning them is because they have an excellent tool for designing a domain name. In their search field, you simply type a few keywords that you want to have in your domain name, click search, and their website will give you a list of available domain names that match your keywords. Again, many of them are not cheap, but just by seeing the suggested domain names, it gives you other ideas to use for creating your own domain name.
