How to Make a Bracelet Out of Beads

Making beaded bracelets is fun and can also be a great craft for any age. It's easy to do and the materials aren't too expensive.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Beads
• Elastic String
• Scissors

1. Go to your local craft store like Michael's or JoAnn's to get your materials. You can choose beads of any type, plastic, glass, clay, whatever you'd like! For string I suggest elastic so you can tie it and you don't need a clasp.

2. Next cut the string to fit around your wrist and leave a little more so that you can tie it.

3. Choose the beads you want to use. Create a pattern if you'd like.

4. Put the beads on the string in the order you want but make sure you hold the end or tie a knot at the end of the string so that they don't fall off.

5. Once you're done, hold it around your wrist to make sure you have it how you want it and tie the two ends together. Make a few knots so that you know it won't fall apart.

6. Cut the ends of the strings but not too close to the knot. I'd say leave about a centimeter, and you're all set!

Tips & Warnings

• You can even add charms or buttons to your bracelet if you want!
• If you're doing this with little kids, don't let them handle the scissors. And make sure none of the kids will put the beads in their mouth.
