Metabolism is how effectively your body uses food as fuel for your cells. Here's how to do it naturally.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Yoga mat
  • 2- 3 lb dumb-bells
  • 2- 10 lb dumb-bells
  1. Step 1

Our metabolism responds positively to all forms of exercise. First you need to build lean muscle to boost your body's fat burning ability. This will help you burn more calories even when your resting. Secondly you have to drink plenty of water to help your cells get rid of all the waste produced. Eight glasses of water a day is suggested for the average adult. The more you sweat the more you will need to hydrate.

  2. Step 2

One of the best ways to get lean muscle is by exercising to Denise Austin videos. I watch them for free on Youtube. Not only do I build up a good sweat buy my legs and arms look and feel more toned. I didn't see results over night however. It took about a month to see the results. But they're worth it. If you want longer videos please visit Denise Austin's website for full length videos.

  3. Step 3

You can do arm curls with the weights. Forward lunges and squats to work the legs. On the yoga mat you can use the 3-lb dumb bells to add resistance to leg lifts. You can also hold the 3-lb dumb-bell close to your chest to do some sit-ups. This extra resistance will force your muscles to exert more energy to complete these otherwise simple exercises.

  4. Step 4

A muscle is composed of many fibers. The more fibers we engage during exercise the stronger that muscle will become. During exercise these fibers break down and rebuild themselves stronger to adapt to our demanding needs that we place on them. This is just one of the marvelous ways we can boost our bodies metabolism.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consult a physician before any exercise. Especially if you have been sedentary for a while.
