How to Make a St. Patrick's Green Shamrock Milk Shake

Children and Adults alike will enjoy this festive Shamrock shake. The green minty milk shake is perfect as a treat for the children or as a festive way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. It is easy to make.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • ice cream
  • milk
  • ice cubes
  • mint extract
  • green food coloring
  1. Step 1

    Measure 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream (or mint ice cream)into a blender. Add One cup of milk and 2 ice cubes in the blender and blend on high for about 15 seconds.

  2. Step 2

    Now add the mint extract (the mint extract can be omitted if mint ice cream was used) and 2 to 3 drops of green food coloring and blend for another 10 seconds or until the food coloring is well blended.

  3. Step 3

    Pour the minty green ice cream shake into a frosted glass and serve. A great topper for this refreshing creamy treat is to add whipped cream and a cherry on top (in many supermarkets you can find green colored cherries for a colorful garnish).

Tips & Warnings
  • Add whipped cream on top.
  • Serve in a frosted glass (place glass in the freezer prior to serving the ice cream shake)
  • If mint ice cream is used - the green food coloring and mint extract can be omitted.
  • Children will love this treat on St. Patrick's Day.
