Children and Adults alike will enjoy this festive Shamrock shake. The green minty milk shake is perfect as a treat for the children or as a festive way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. It is easy to make.

Difficulty: Easy

  • ice cream
  • milk
  • ice cubes
  • mint extract
  • green food coloring
  1. Step 1

Measure 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream (or mint ice cream)into a blender. Add One cup of milk and 2 ice cubes in the blender and blend on high for about 15 seconds.

Now add the mint extract (the mint extract can be omitted if mint ice cream was used) and 2 to 3 drops of green food coloring and blend for another 10 seconds or until the food coloring is well blended.

  3. Step 3

Pour the minty green ice cream shake into a frosted glass and serve. A great topper for this refreshing creamy treat is to add whipped cream and a cherry on top (in many supermarkets you can find green colored cherries for a colorful garnish).

  • Serve in a frosted glass (place glass in the freezer prior to serving the ice cream shake)
