Things You'll Need:
- Shampoo for Cats
- A bath tub
- A few large towels
- A cat brush
- A large plastic cup
-
Step 1
First, fill your tub up about 1/4 way full with warm water. Do this before you bring your cat into the bathroom.
-
Step 2
Have your shampoo and towels ready. Place your cat feet first into the tub, and allow your cat so walk around slowly while gently pouring water over cat untill completely wet. Always keep your hands ON your cat, otherwise it will try to make a wild leap out of the tub.
-
Step 3
Using your shampoo, apply a line from head to tail. Then lather well. Some cats will enjoy this part of the bath, almost like a message.
-
Step 4
Using your cup, pour water over the cat, continue to lather and pour water untill all the soap is washed off. I usually repeat the washing set 2-3 times, depending on how dirty your cat is.
-
Step 5
Once your cat is rinsed well, pull the drain on your tub while your cat is still in the tub. Allow all water to drain, then wrap a towell around your cat and try your best to dry off as much water as possible from your cat.
-
Step 6
Now, allow your cat to relax. It will probably run off and hide, or try to find a sunny spot to lay and lick itself. Once your cat is mostly dry, use a cat brush to remove loose hairs. This will help prevent your cat from getting hairballs.
