These tips will help you in your travels. It's hard to avoid jet lag entirely, but these tips will help you get through it quickly and safely.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start off well rested. If you're already tired when you start it will be much more difficult to adjust to a new time zone.

  2. Step 2

Leave in the morning, arrive in the evening. Red-eye flights are much more likely to cause jet lag, so avoid them whenever possible.

  3. Step 3

Drink plenty of fluids on the plane - BUT NO ALCOHOL.

  4. Step 4

Get involved in local activities as soon as possible. Socialize, do some sightseeing, take a walk around the town.

  5. Step 5

Don't take a long nap. If you need one, don't go longer than 15 minutes. That will give you a good rest.

  6. Step 6

Get out in the sun. The more sunshine the better you'll feel. Of course, don't forget your sunscreen.

  7. Step 7

Get some exercise - outdoors if possible.

  8. Step 8

Give yourself a full day before making any important decisions.
