Babies only know one word, waaaa!!! This can be frustrating for parents, especially dads.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • crying baby
  • diapers?
  • food?
  • mirror
  • blanket
  1. Step 1

Make sure you baby has everything she needs. The most common reason for a baby to cry is a wet or dirty diaper. Make sure she is dry and clean and hopefully you will have a happy baby.

  2. Step 2

The next thing to be aware of is when she last ate. If feeding time is approaching this could be the reason for crying. If moms around to breastfeed then you are all set, if not then its up to you to make a bottle or dish out the pureed veggies. Yum!

  3. Step 3

Another reason for a baby to be upset is if he is too hot or too cold. Babies are pretty tolerant of temperature fluctuations however. Just be sure they are wearing something comparable to what you are wearing. If you have 3 layers on they should be bundled up. If you are in shorts they probably dont want any clothes on at all. Babies love being naked!

  4. Step 4

After you have covered the basics and your baby is still upset. Maybe the baby is just bored. Has he been playing with the same toys for more than 10-20 minutes. Try something new, babies love new things.

  5. Step 5

Hold your baby up to a mirror, they will love to see you and another baby. Whos that baby with my daddy??

  6. Step 6

Tickle his belly. This always works when we are on the changing table and lil mister throws a fit. Make noises with your mouth and then lower down and kiss his belly. He will be laughing so hard he will forget about whatever he was crying about in the first place.

Tips & Warnings
  • If nothing seems to be working try something completely different!
  • Never shake a baby, If you feel like there is nothing you can do call someone.
