The only way to truly celebrate St.Patrick's Day is to drink up with the traditional green beer! If you are having friends over for a party, surprise them with this festive beer!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Beer
  • Food coloring
  1. Step 1

To make your own pub style green beer for St. Patrick's Day start by choosing the beer. By choosing a lighter beer (lighter beer color) it will be easier for you to turn green. If you only prefer the darker beer variety, you can still get the green color, it will just require more food coloring.

  2. Step 2

Once the beer is poured in the glass, use blue food coloring to start your green beer. That is right, I said BLUE food coloring..why you say? Well, it is quicker and easier to get to that ideal green color by using blue when mixing it in with the yellow beer. Slowly drop the blue food coloring while mixing in the beer until you reach your ideal green color.

  3. Step 3

If you are having a large party for St. Patrick's Day, you may want to include other festive drinks along with the green beer. Green Apple Martini's could be a good compliment along with another non-alcoholic green drink to round out your bar selection. Luck of the Irish to you!
