Things You'll Need:
- credit card
- cash
-
Step 1
The first thing I like to do when shopping for any kitchen appliance is to do a general search on Epinions or PriceGrabber just to get an idea of the price range and brand names that make the appliance. In this case, enter the word juicer in the search box and the database will pull up all the juicers available.
-
Step 2
Research customer reviews.
When looking for customer product reviews, I like to check Amazon, Epinions and Price Grabber. Customer reviews really make an impact on my purchases. Owners of electric juicers may have an issue that would not normally be mentioned in the product description. -
Step 3
Be sure to decide how much use this juicer will be getting.
A single person will generally not need a high end professional juicer and a small business will not benefit from a typical kitchen juicer. Professional juicers will generally have a wider insert mouth and a bigger pulp container. A standard kitchen juicer will not be able to make more than a few glasses of juice before dumping the pulp container. You may also have to chop up the fruits and vegetables into smaller pieces in order to get them into the mouth of the machine. -
Step 4
Once you figure in shipping on an item, it may be cheaper for you to purchase this item in the store. Some online retailers will ship for free or have low cost shipping.
-
Step 5
Price check on line before walking into any retail store to save yourself a lot of foot work. Many retail stores list their juicers online which is extremely helpful.
-
Step 6
Don't forget to shop at shopping clubs. Very often you will find great deals at Costco, Price Club and BJ's that you wouldn't normally be able to find in a retail store. Keep in mind that your selection will be limited so you may not find what you are looking for.
-
Step 7
Look for coupons online before making your final purchase to save money. Coupon Cabin and Coupon Surfer are a good place to start.
