How to Install Yahoo Anti-Spyware

Yahoo! Anti-Spyware is software downloadable as a bundle with the Yahoo! Toolbar, developed and distributed by Yahoo! Inc. Available only to Firefox users, Anti-Spyware is a new addition to the toolbar, allowing you to more safely enjoy the Internet.

Things You'll Need

• Computer
• Firefox Web Browser
• Yahoo! Toolbar with Anti-Spyware

Instructions

1. Turn on your computer. Open Firefox and download the Yahoo! Toolbar.

2. A prompt will appear below your address bar asking if you want to install the software. Press "Allow" on the far right of the prompt.

3. A new window will appear, prompting you to install only the add-ons you trust. Press the "Install Now" button to confirm.

4. The download will initiate. When the download is complete, you will be asked to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect. Accept by pressing the "Restart Firefox" button.

5. When Firefox initiates, you now should see the newly installed Yahoo! toolbar. If not, click on the "View" menu in the browser, and hover above "Toolbars." Click on the "Yahoo! Toolbar" button to reveal it.

Tips & Warnings

• You may choose to hide the Yahoo! Toolbar by unchecking it in Step 5.

• Yahoo! Anti-Spyware comes bundled with the Toolbar and cannot be downloaded separately.

• The Yahoo! Toolbar is available only for Firefox browsers.

• Do not turn off your Internet connection or computer while downloading the Toolbar. This may cause unexpected data loss or corruption.

• The Yahoo! Anti-Spyware software does not protect against viruses.
